Dr. Blumenfield is the Sidney E. Frank Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at New York Medical College where he was Director of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and had a secondary appointment as Professor of Medicine and Surgery. He is a past President of the American Academy of Psychodynamic Psychiatry and Psychoanalysis and a past Speaker of the Assembly of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Blumenfield is currently in private practice in Woodland Hills (Los Angeles) California.
