She is a Clinical Associate Professor Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, Visiting Professor at the University of Sichuan and a consultant to the Ethics Committee of the Chinese Psychological Society. In 2012 she was recipient of the Sigmund Freud Award from the American society of Psychoanalytic Physicians and the Presidential Award from the American Academy of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.  Dr. Snyder is currently in private practice in New York City.
